Super Flumina Romantic Religious Music from Belgium Joseph Callaerts (1830-1901) sang as a young boy in the cathedral choir of Onze Lieve Vrouw in Antwerp, a church where he later became resident organist, even before he obtained his organ diploma. He studied under Lemmens at the Conservatory in Brussels. His Mass is an uninhibited, almost light footed work that is easily listened to. |
