Dixit Dominus Johan Duijck Oratorio |
Roger Walkinton Roger Walkinton is the deputy Director of fundraising for music and other projects at St Paul’s Cathedral in London where he is also Secretary of the Friends of St Paul’s. Singing lessons at Oundle School from Timothy Brown (before he led the Clare College Cambridge choir with such distinction) led to a choral and then organ scholarship at the University of Sussex near Brighton under the late John Birch. From Sussex days onwards he sang for László Heltay in Brighton Festival Chorus. Under László and later Johan Duijck, he sang for over 20 years with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chorus, singing, recording and touring with them under Sir Neville Marriner. Roger and his wife Jill still sing in the London-based chamber choir, the Purcell Singers. |
